A 1975 Illinois law states that when Roe v. Wade is modified or overturned, abortion will again become illegal. Poor women and state employees are prevented from using their health insurance to pay for abortion, while young women are being threatened with dangerous laws that will drive them to illegal and self-induced abortions.  Anti-choice pharmacists are trying to prevent women from getting birth control and emergency contraception by refusing to fill their prescriptions. The health of Illinois’ young people is put at risk with failed abstinence only sexuality education rather than teaching accurate, scientific and factual information that encourages responsible behavior.
